Acupuncture

Acupuncture works with the vital life force referred to as “qi” in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture’s key principle is stimulating the Qi-flow in such a way that the body’s self-healing abilities are activated and thus rebalance the body.

Acupuncture is practice that entails inserting very thin, sterile needles into specific points on the meridians. The acupuncture points are chosen according to your specific diagnosis. Inserting the needles is basically painless, although patients often feel ‘a little jolt’, this is the Qi being touched by the needle. Once the needles are in, most of our patients feel a sense of deep relaxation & even sleepiness!

Qi runs through our body using an extensive system of channels, called meridians. These meridians supply all organs, muscles, tissues etc. with nutrition and vitality. When one or multiple meridians are obstructed, the energy stagnates, which can cause an organ elsewhere to be undernourished. By needling and manipulating acupuncture points we release areas of blocked Qi which stimulates organ function & promotes health.

Using acupuncture, we prompt your body’s intelligence to restore balance.
